Everything Under The Sun
A war in the desert, a coalition fighting shadows, but this is not Iraq, this is not Afghanistan. This is the war in Mali - the deadliest peacekeeping mission in history. This is the home of Ibrihim, an interpreter attached to the UN Mission in Mali (MINUSMA). His life has been shaped by a decade of civil war; where the legacy of French colonialism collides with the new global forces of Islamist terror and mercenary armies. A new drama I commissioned from award-winning writer director Jack MacGregor, Everything Under The Sun won a Scotsman Fringe First and The Scottish Arts Trust Leading Light Prize for best Scottish Production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Produced as part of Army at the Fringe 2023. Credits: Production, Set Design, Promotion.
