My work deals with language; society; conflict and masculinity. I am currently researching an auto-ethnographic work which is situated between the Scottish Highlands where my ancestors fled poverty in the late 19th century and the Flemish Lowlands where I attempted to flee from English exceptionalism in the early 21st. I am doing this as a PhD researcher at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee under the interdisciplinary supervision of Gair Dunlop (Art) and Dr Matt Graham (History).
